i think for some people the personal ads become an addiction of sorts. check to see how many his profile is listed on. you might be shocked at what you find. where did YOU meet him? same place? on the other hand just because he still looks doesnt mean he is actively pursuing anyone else, you say you never agreed to be exclusive , so is it fair to dump him for breaking rules that you never set down or talked about? What you need to do in the future is to not assume where you stand in a relationship. talk to him. find out where you stand with him, and what level is the relationship on according to him? and even though its hard sometimes, you have to be willing to give someone new a chance to get close to you without having to wade thru your baggage issues from a previous boyfriend. thats so unfair. everyone has been hurt by someone we trusted to love us at some point, just like we have probably done the same to another person. i think perhaps you over-reacted to this situation, and it was premature to just cut him loose like that. sometimes things arent always what they seem. maybe you should go talk to him again , tell him what you have told us..you will either get clarity or some closure, either way it will help you move on from the confusion you feel now. good luck.

well honestly, you have no reason to be upset since you guys never agreed to be an exclusive couple. If you wanted to be the only one then you should have told him but instead you let him keep thinking that it was a casual thing.

You did not communicate with him first off and so he probably still wanted someone else since you guys weren’t exclusively together.

He’s probably still interested but what you need to do is send a clear message that either you want to be an exclusive couple and date only each other…..or….. you want to keep everything casual and still see other people.

Honestly, its your fault that you didn’t tell him you wanted to date only each other.
