Ok, the topic is about how to understand men, now before you run away and decide that men are too difficult to comprehend, read what I’m going to tell you first.

If you are having trouble understanding men, just do not over think it. If he tells you something, believe it. This is not a guessing game. He does not really mean something else, he means what he says. You should do the same.

Do not allow things to get boring. Keep him guessing a bit. This does not mean let him wonder if you are seeing his friends when he is not around. Do not play games. He needs to know that he can trust you.

Do not share his business with other people. Even something that you may not think is a big deal, may be to him. Keep it between the two of you.

He wants to feel like a man. Do not spend your time reprimanding him as if he is a child. If you do, and does not stop you, you will soon become his surrogate mother.

Appreciate his abilities, and remember he wants to share them. Allow him to help. Make sure to reciprocate. Do not take advantage. If you do, he will think that you are using him.

Chivalry is not dead. Let him open doors and pull out chairs for you. This is not the time to worry about “the women’s movement”, he wants to treat you like a lady. This makes him feel like a better man.

Men do not like women who play games with communication. Listen to what he has to say. Do not “half listen”, or take the attitude that you have heard it all before. Show that you are truly interested. If you are genuinely interested, you will be one step closer to understanding men.

People who readily give out too much personal information to strangers are easy targets for sexual predators. So men, do not give out too much information about yourself. And since you are talking online and not face to face, it's easy to just close the browser and cease contact with a suspicious woman. Some women ask for security regarding marriage and commitment at early stages of your dating. You might need to drop her off the list.  She may just be trying to keep from being alone and will accept the first person that comes around showing any interest in her.  But then again, some guys do that too after they have been single for a long time.
