Over 35: I need help writing personal ad for dating website?

I don 't want to scare off the type in my ad, but don' t want to waste my time one or the other. I want a guy who can cook and clean and allocate jobs. Is there a way to say this with humor? I went on a date with a first date and told me that was a crime and was a drug addict. I don 't want that happening again. I thought the "writing; Sorry but if you do drugs, drink like a fish, smoke, have a crime, or in need of Prozac, then I 'm the girl is not right for you. " Anyone who has ideas of how can I get this message across with humor? What kind of things I include in my ad about me and that I 'm. seeking in a partner? I 'm. trying to attract men who are interested in a relationship long term and in a final.

The fun thing about online dating is that you CAN say stuff like that. Believe me, there are lots of guys out there who don’t do drugs, or drink like crazy for smoke or have a felony or need Prozac who will read that and be impressed with a girl who’s not afraid to say what she wants. Don’t settle for anything less. The only guys who are going to think you’re being too picky are the ones that fall into those bad categories and you don’t want them anyways.

Then you have to write it in such a way that it attracts the right kind of guy but doesn’t make him think you are a domineering woman. I’d be happy to help anytime.

honey, like it says, it’s a dating site, that’s why you date , to find out who is right for you. it isn’t a marriage site for a reason. I mean what do you think that 10 bucks a month is suppose to do for you? it helps you meet people. it’s your job to sort them out, some women like the alcoholic druggy felony types. most people on dating sites have been there done that before (marriage) and don’t go there looking for that again. hey high school is over, no one to cart a bus load of prospects in for you to pick and choose from. you gotta get out and look on your own now. scary isn’t it, attracting someone on your own merits. you can’t go to the clubs any more, now you gotta hang out in the bars. that old bald beer belly felon is starting to look pretty good after a few beers and a few nights of re-runs on the tv at home alone.

steff what you said was great ,just add some of your talents and remind men that your great to be around and have an opinion ,and would like to meet men that treat a women as an equal not as a slave , tell men you want a relationship based on good morals and standards.by the way just change the wording then your not the type of addict iam llooking for,iam looking for a man that will be adicted to me for the rest of our lives,and if you cant handle that then step aside ,because iam moving on , and dont need no monkeys on my back. to the point , be blunt ,i have wants needs and desires if your a man and cant handle my special needs then move over and let a real man take over

Well, it’s hard, because you don’t really tell us anything about YOU… only about what you don’t want in a man. Hmmm. Maybe that’s the problem. You need to focus on finding someone that you would be right for, not just someone who will be right for you: “Ask not what your man can do for you, ask what you can do for your man.” Try something like this…

“Hi, I’m a 35+ SF seeking SM 30-45 for possible long-term relationship. I’m no supermodel, but I’ve been told I’ve got (a) killer [list best physical feature(s)] and I clean up well. I’m sober and drug, felony, and Prozac free. (If you’re not, don’t apply.) I’m looking for someone who will enjoy sharing companionship, recreation, and chores. Cook with me, help do the dishes, then sweep me off my feet! I enjoy ice sculpting (you know what they say about cold hands!). I also like modern Russian literature and horseback riding. If you do too, maybe we can “Chekhov” a date and ride off in the sunset together!”
