I would say that he should take it down once you have a serious commitment to one another. If you are “going steady” then he shouldn’t need it. If he keeps it up then dump his ass and move on. He would only keep it up if he either thinks it isn’t going to work out between you, or he is keeping his options open for if something better comes along.

I would suggest that you talk to him and see where his head is at, and explain that it bothers you. If he is sincere and cares about you he would obviously choose to get rid of his ad.

I say he should take it down and focus on you. After all, it only takes a few minutes to set one up should you two part ways.
